A Brief And Obvious Point About Pregnant Chicago Blackhawk Fan

Sorry, kid.
This isn't going to win me any friends in Chicago, or from all of the people who seem to think this is just all kinds of cute, but so be it.

1) If you remain at a game, even a playoff game, while you are having contractions, you are not a super devoted fan that should get props on Mother's Day. You are, actually, something of a selfish lunatic who might be lacking the maturity to really excel at this whole putting the needs of your kid before yours aspect of parenting.

2) Hockey fans will put up a lot from their fellow fan, but what makes you think that the other people in your section want to be around you while you're giving birth?

3) I realize that you probably aren't big on this planning thing, but what if you had ran into traffic getting out of the stadium for the game that you insisted on viewing to the end?

Look, not to put too fine a point on this, but people DIE from giving birth. Fairly often. Fetuses die fairly often, especially in this country, with our bad diets and worse choices.

But you stay and enjoy your game, sweetie. And since the Hawks won, and you're now Internet Famous, will we see you for the next round, while someone else stays home with the burden?
